Food prices elevated in high-inflation Britain

Food prices in UK supermarkets and shops have risen by 8.3% since January.
The BBC has reported that meat and fish are up 22.9% in the biggest price increases for any one category in the survey.
Fresh fruit and vegetables up 14.7%.
Some individual food items were found to have gone up nearly 50%.
The high cost of food is now exceeding the official inflation rate in the UK.
