The Economic and Social Council meets this morning under its agenda item on advancement of women to take action on the draft resolution “Revitalization of the Commission on the Status of Women” (document E/2026/L.2).
The representatives of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Ireland will speak before the vote on the draft.
Also today, the 54-member Council will inform regarding the distribution of responsibilities among its members for its 2026 session, including its: high-level segment, high-level political forum on sustainable development convened under the auspices of the Council, forum on financing for development follow-up, special meeting on international cooperation in tax matters, as well as any forums, joint meetings and other special meetings; management segment; coordination segment; operational activities for development segment; and humanitarian affairs segment.
